Note that before this, the enterprise used steel liners that lasted no more than one month. Employees of Mining Element's service department installed the rubber-ceramic liners on the bins, independently cutting standard plates. In December, they conducted an intermediate wear assessment. The check showed that over four months, the composite rubber-ceramic plates have 0% wear. Rubber-ceramic is optimally suited for processing large volumes of material. Thanks to ceramic inserts, it combines the damping properties of rubber with high resistance to abrasive wear. "Based on the dynamics of current wear—or rather, its absence—we can predict a liner service life of up to five years," says Olga Stepuk, manager of the Wear-Resistant Materials department at Mining Element. Mining Element offers six effective solutions for protecting mining and processing equipment from wear: rubber, rubber-ceramic, polyurethane, high-molecular-weight polyethylene, bimetal, and wear-resistant steel.
