How to Reduce the Cost of Servicing C&S Equipment

How to Reduce the Cost of Servicing C&S Equipment

Unplanned liner or component wear stops the plant and destroys margins. In many cases, the cost of downtime exceeds the price of the parts by an order of magnitude. The right profile, alloy, and stocking program keep crushers online and maintenance planned – not reactive.

Mining Element analyzes your operating conditions and delivers parts that materially extend equipment life. Where needed, we modify geometry and alloys for site-specific duty cycles, ore abrasiveness, and target product shape.

Our crusher parts catalogue exceeds 80,000 SKUs; send a request for specifications and pricing.

Case: Increased liner utilization on a Uralmash KSD-1750 cone crusher from 22% to 100% through profile and alloy optimization.

How We Lower Your Crushing Cost per Ton

Our customers measure savings at the scale that matters: cost per processed ton.

Depending on the application, Element parts have delivered a lower cost per ton than OEM or generic alternatives – in some cases o four times lower. Results depend on feed, settings, and duty, which we assess up front.

If you want to quantify gains at your site, our engineers will model the expected overhaul interval for your C&S circuit and show the impact on recirculation, availability, and inventory.

Equipment Compatibility

Equipment Compatibility

Mining Element produces drop-in compatible parts for equipment from major brands, including Sandvik® , Metso®, Telsmith®, Terex®, ThyssenKrupp®, TRIO®, «Уралмаш»®, Zenith®, and others.)

We guarantee compliance with material specifications, geometry, and operational parameters comparable to OEM references. We also provide warranties on wear life and can tailor geometry and metallurgy on request. The catalogue includes shafts, gears and gear sets, rings, bushings, bearings, side liners, jaw plates and cheek plates, mantles and bowl liners, spider caps, wear strips, housings, and more.

Cone and Gyratory Crusher Parts

We produce wear and spare parts for cone crushers for cone crushers with both top-supported (suspended) and bottom-supported main shafts, as well as parts for primary gyratory crushers across multiple OEMs.

Jaw Crusher Parts

Two recurring problems drive up operating costs:
  • Poor finished product shape (excess flakiness) and oversize fraction due to an unsuitable jaw profile.
  • Low liner life caused by a mismatch between material grade and duty.
Using Element's plates will :
  • Improve the finished product quality;
  • Reduce downtime from re-feed;
  • Lower plant operating costs.
Case: Increased service life of jaw “cheeks” and main plates through a revised profile and Mn grade selection.

Impact Crusher (HSI/VSI) Parts

We supply wear and spare parts for horizontal-shaft, and vertical shaft impact crushers used at primary, secondary, and tertiary stages – often in 24/7 operation.

High reduction ratios make impactors common in coal and industrial minerals, but abrasive feeds can drive consumption.

By selecting the right blow-bar/hammer geometry and alloy (martensitic, high-chrome, or composite) and tuning breaker plates , we achieve the required throughput and product shape with controlled wear.

Case: Element blow bars for an HSI application achieved 4× the life of prior equivalents under the same duty.

Roll Crushers and High-Pressure Grinding Rolls (HPGR)

Maintenance of roll crushers and presses typically centers on roll tires or We supply complete sets of side – the highest-wear parts of the mechanism.

Harder ore shortens intervals; the remedy is correct material and segment design, not longer outages.

Case: A site-specific segment design and alloy package reduced ore processing cost on a roll crusher circuit threefold while maintaining product specs.

Screens and Feeders

We supply parts for screens and feeders from a wide range of OEMs. We can build to your drawing or design a modernized alternative to solve chronic failures.Download leaflet
Typical screen and feeder parts:

Bearing housings; wear-resistant grates and grizzly bars (including bimetal overlays); crossmembers and crossbars; coil springs; bearings; liners and wear plates; vibration isolators; labyrinth seals.

Equipment types covered:

Horizontal and inclined screens, multi-slope (“banana”) screens; apron feeders, grizzly feeders, vibrating feeders, and roller feeders.

Screening Media:

Screening surfaces are available in rubber and polyurethane as standard. We also produce woven wire and metal panels, including special executions such as heat-resistant media where temperature demands it.

Parts of general-industrial purpose

To simplify procurement, Element also supplies general-industrial parts manufactured to DIN/ISO/GOST standards: bearings, fasteners, V-belt drives, electrical and hydraulic components, and filters.

Knowledge of the typical mining equipment stack lets us bundle these with crusher, screen, pump, and conveyor parts in a single order.

Engineering to Order

We don’t only replicate OEM references; we engineer improvements. Based on your throughput goals, feed characteristics, and maintenance windows, we determine where geometry, alloy, or surface treatment changes will pay off.

Modernized parts help regulate wear rates across the circuit, extend service life, and reduce planned downtime tied to liner changes.

Warranty and Delivery

Mining Element provides clear operating guarantees – either in motor hours or tons of processed material – depending on equipment and duty.

Our engineers can prepare an ROI justification and share relevant case studies demonstrating the economic effect of Element components.

Warehouse program

We stock according to the installed base at mining enterprises to minimize your wait times.

Where inventory is on hand in Russia, delivery typically ranges from several hours to one week.

If a part is not in stock, we accept make-to-order requests with confirmed lead times.
