Before heading up the Element Group the past 8 months Marko Salmela worked as a Vice President in European, African and Middle East Market Area. “In the month of October, we will celebrate the fourth birthday of Element Group. Mining Element has recently installed a mill lining, in addition to commencing the operation of a ball mill, at one of the largest metallurgical and mining enterprises in the world.
Our client’s main problem was the low service life of linings from local suppliers. Our goal, in this case, was very clear – to choose the material fit for the operating conditions of the mill and make linings that will last 20% longer than the linings of previous suppliers.For the mill, we chose C2 grade austenitic manganese steel, specially developed by Mining Element for this type of application. We guarantee the customer a minimum lining kit operating time of 8,700 hours, provided that the technological parameters of the crusher are met.
Mining Element has released its first fill for cone, gyratory crushers, and mills. Sales will start in the Eurasian and EMEA regions through Mining Element's regional offices and dealer representative offices in 20 countries.
NovaTHOR — a two-component compound based on an epoxy resin for filling the cavities between the surfaces of wear and body parts. Improved shock absorption properties, high impact resistance, and compressive strength are the main characteristics of the compound. Because of this, the filling effectively absorbs energy and reduces vibration. NovaTHOR is resistant to shrinkage and temperature influences, so it is suitable for even the most severe of application conditions.
The Element brand expands its presence throughout the EMEA region and enhanced the number of dealers and representative offices in 20 countries. To date, the company has signed partnership agreements with companies from Poland, Ukraine, Turkey, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt, Greece, Ghana and Israel. Companies from South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, Zimbabwe, Serbia and Bulgaria are planning to join the partner network.
Our service team completed a full restoration of the cone crusher bottom frame. The customer was one of the aggregate enterprises in the Ural Region of Russia.
All parts are restored according to the technical specifications and design documentation of Mining Element. The warranty for our work is six months or 1000 hours, whichever comes first.
Mining Element finished industrial testing of the liners on the Uralmash KSD 3000 crusher at one of Severstal's factories. Our guarantee to the processing was 2 million tons of rock, but the liners successfully processed 2 369 189 tons of rock (it is 18,5% more!).
The average productivity of the crusher was 1160 tons per hour.
A new batch of components for hydraulic transport equipment has arrived at the Mining Element storehouse. In the production of pump components, we use three different alloys of high-chromium cast iron and several types of acid-resistant rubber.
Thanks to its own Design Engineering Department, Mining Element promptly modifies the parts to meet the customer’s requirements.
Mining Element has installed a new rubber-ceramic lining on the conveyor of one of the largest manufacturers in the Altai region.
Rubber-ceramics are at least 30% more durable than standard rubber or metal parts. Mining Element has lined the parts of the conveyor, which are subject to the highest load.
New THOR series linings have been delivered to the Company’s storehouse in Saint Petersburg. Two sets of parts will be installed on KMD 2200 crushers, for one of our customers in the North-Western Federal district of Russia.
